After winning the most points on the men’s World Cup tour for the fourth year in a row, HEAD is delighted to announce that 2012 World Cup slalom champion Andre Myhrer has joined the World Cup Rebels for the forthcoming seasons.

Andre Myhrer has been successful in both slalom and giant slalom in his career to date and sees the positive development of the HEAD range of skis, boots and bindings as the stepping stone that his career needs for further victories on the World Cup tour.

“With Andre we have a strong addition to our team who we are sure will help bring us more victories in the technical disciplines, especially in slalom,” said HEAD CEO Johan Eliasch. “I am very pleased to have Andre on board.”

“HEAD is a very professional company, the number one in the world. They are world leading in all the disciplines except slalom, but that’s something that I am planning to change,” said Myrhrer. “I am proud to be a part of the Head family and really looking forward to get back to work after my rehab period.”

HEAD World Cup Rebels team manager, Rainer Salzgeber, added: “It is a dream to have an absolute slalom star in our team with Andre. I hope, with him, to create the basis to celebrate such successes in slalom as in all other disciplines.”

With Myhrer looking to add to his five World Cup wins plus the 2012 slalom globe, the HEAD brand hopes to be challenging on the World Cup slalom podium again.
