SkiRacing.com will work with St. Moritz 2017, the Swiss organizers of the 2017 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, providing unique video content to bring out of the ordinary perspectives of key alpine athletes both on and off the snow for the championship organizing committee.

“St. Moritz 2017 is excited to work with SkiRacing.com because they bring a different view of athletes,” said Claudia Jann, Director of Public Relations and Media for the championship. “They have very close contacts with North American athletes and know how to bring both their athletic prowess and personality to fans for their enjoyment.”

Ski Racing, which has been following international ski competition since 1968, will be delivering the organizers with a series of video clips of primarily North American athletes for digital usage. Ski Racing will promote the championship events via social media as well as presenting the videos on its SkiRacing.com platform.

“We are very excited to work with St. Moritz 2017 to promote their championships and bring the lifestyles of our U.S. and Canadian athletes to audiences worldwide,” said Claire Brown, Ski Racing’s Chief Operating Officer. “While we devote a lot of time to athletes during training and competition, we also spend time with them when they are relaxing and having fun. It is during those times when we can best bring out their off-snow personalities.”

One of the world’s premier resorts, St. Moritz is no stranger to hosting major winter events. In addition to the 1924 and 1948 Olympic Winter Games, four alpine World Championships have been held in the Swiss community, the most recent in 2003. The upcoming championships will open on Feb. 6, 2017 on a revised competition track and with a completely re-organized finish area.

Ski Racing, which began as a tabloid newspaper, has been a leader in digital publishing from the medium’s outset. Recently the company launched an interactive app in conjunction with the U. S. Ski Team, bringing fans instantaneous information on their mobile devices around the globe. The foremost English language digital source for ski competition news, Ski Racing also provides rich content for Putnam Investments and Barilla as well as a number of companies with interests in the ski industry.
