Ski Racing Media is currently seeking photo/digital media interns to join our staff ahead of the 2019-20 competition season.

Prospective interns should be highly motivated individuals who are currently involved in the NorAm or NCAA ski communities and who are pursuing or have completed their college educations. Photography, video, and social media skills are a plus as is reliable transportation to cover local events.

Photo/Digital interns should also have an educational background and experience working with cameras as well as editing photos and/or video content.

Experience with the Adobe creative suite or graphic design experience is also a plus.

Ski Racing Media interns are expected to work approximately 10 hours per week during the season and will gain valuable experience with our interactive, multi-platform media company. We maintain a virtual office, so the internship can be completed from anywhere in North America. Exceptional past interns have moved on to full-time, paid employment with us. Internship benefits include travel to competitions, accreditation at major events, college credit depending on your institution, and published bylines and photo/video credit for professional portfolio development.

Intern expectations:

  • Current college student or NorAm level skier
  • Commit at least 10 hours per week through the end of the ski season
  • Stay current on ski racing news, both domestically and internationally
  • Assist with and produce deadline content in a timely manner
  • Cover local events in person when possible
  • Available to assist editors as needed

Interested photo/digital media candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and portfolio (if applicable) to Digital Content + Marketing Manager Roger Carry at rcarry@skiracing.com at their earliest convenience.

Applications will be accepted until September 1st
