SIA reports floor space sold out for 2004 SnowSports Show in Las Vegas
SIA reports floor space sold out for 2004 SnowSports Show in Las Vegas{mosimage}SnowSports Industries America (SIA) reports that its SIA.04 SnowSports Show in Las Vegas is officially sold out. The 2004 show is scheduled for the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, January 26-29.
The show is the first snow sports trade show of the season. In conjunction with the Winter Sports Market hosted by the SMC and SSL buying groups, the SIA Show annually kicks off the buy-sell cycle.
“The decision to move the show dates was made three years ago with an understanding that a change of this magnitude would take three to five years to take hold,” said David Ingemie, president of SIA. “We knew that the industry needed time to embrace the new show dates, but were confident that the industry as a whole would eventually recognize the importance of the date change. With the floor space officially sold out, we see this as a clear sign that the industry is making significant progress toward the goal.”
More than 770 companies — hardgoods and softgoods manufacturers in the alpine, nordic, snowboarding, snowshoe, backcountry and telemark worlds — will unveil their complete product lines in more than 3200 booths at SIA.04.
Ingemie says a waiting list has been compiled for those companies still interested in exhibiting at the 2004 show. SIA’s trade site — www.thesnowtrade.org — serves as the on-line industry resource for the SIA.04 SnowSports Show.
