After the announcement earlier this spring that German skier Viktoria Rebensburg would be joining Tina Maze on Stoeckli, another World Cup top-30 skier has been added to the manufacturer’s roster.

Spanish speed specialist Carolina Ruiz Castillo informed her fans that her 8-year partnership with Salomon will no longer continue and she has joined the Stoeckli team. Ruiz Castillo celebrated her greatest success with Salomon, a victory in the Meribel downhill in 2013. This was only the second World Cup podium for Ruiz Castillo; she earned a second-place result in the Sestriere giant slalom early in her career in 2000. Ruiz Castillo finished the 2013-14 season ranked 23rd in the downhill standings, her strongest discipline to date.

“Dear friends, after 8 years with Salomon, it’s time to thank them for their support and for giving me the opportunity to work with outstanding people both on the professional and personal level. From now on I will work with the Swiss brand Stöckli. I am very excited about this new project and I am sure that together we will achieve our goals,” the 32-year-old wrote.
