Rossignol signs Eva Twardokens as spokesperson for women’s programs{mosimage}Rossignol has named Eva Twardokens as spokesperson for its Rossignol For Women programs, including the Rossignol for Women Workshops at eight resorts throughout the United States this winter.

A 13-year veteran of the U.S. Ski Team, from 1982 to 1985, Twardokens represented the U.S. at two Olympics. She was a six-time national champion and a world championships bronze medalist.

Often seen as a television commentator since her retirement from World Cup racing, and as a venue announcer at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Twardokens has also garnered national recognition for her teaching methods in ski clinics featured on Fox Sports Net and on Skiing Magazine television broadcasts.

As spokesperson for Rossignol for Women programs, Twardokens hopes to help more women get out on the hill and improve their skill levels. “I think it’s critical for women to be able to have the proper learning environment, where real progress can be made, and be able to enjoy just being out there on the hill,” she said. “I’m looking forward to being at the four Western workshops, myself, and to meeting the women who come to participate in the clinics.”

Daniel Mornet, Rossignol’s vice president of racing in the U.S., said he was “very pleased that Eva has accepted this new role. We’ve known each other for so many years, as she started skiing on Rossignol gear when she was just a child, and I’ve seen her grow through her junior and World Cup racing years. Eva’s talent has always been exceptional, both as a racer and as a communicator, so I am sure that the women will benefit greatly from her experience.”
