Rossignol restructures North American organization{mosimage}Williston, VT – Following the recent ramping up of the Rossignol’s Snowboard Division with the appointment of Michel Lessard to North American Division Manager, the company has announced a reorganization of its marketing, promotions and communications departments.

According to Rossignol’s newly appointed President, Francois Goulet, “The result of this reorganization will be an increased presence of our brand in the field, at resorts, at on-snow events, and at consumer promotions.”

The company is also revamping its Racing Department to improve athlete support and representation by. The newly formed Sport Marketing and Promotions Department will oversee all athlete activities in freeride, freestyle and racing programs.

Jason Newell, formerly a Product Manager for the Alpine Division has been promoted to manage these activities. Jason will be assisted by the following team: Thor Verdonk US Ski Team Coordinator and Alpine Product Technical Advisor; Jesse Keene Junior Racing Program Coordinator; Paddy Kaye North American Freestyle/Freeride Program Coordinator; and Jim Fredericks Nordic Racing and Promotions Manager. Rossignol is also adding nine full-time Promotional/Racing Representatives to support these functions throughout the country. In addition, Daniel Mornet, formerly VP Racing and Promotions USA, will now serve as Vice President Corporate Sponsorship on a worldwide basis.

Rossignol has also restructured its Marketing and Communications Departments in order to increase synergies, both globally and throughout North America. Steve Dudley, Vice President of Marketing North America, has announced the promotion of Kurt Hoefler to Division Manager for Alpine Products in the U.S. Kurt joins his counterpart, Pierre Langlois, who heads the Alpine Division in the Canadian market. Both Kurt and Pierre will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Alpine Division in their respective markets. Thor Verdonk will be supporting Kurt on the U.S. side as Alpine Product Technical Advisor in conjunction with his US Ski Team responsibilities.

In this phase of restructuring, the position of Vice President of Communications & Advertising has been eliminated and Steve Dudley, Vice President of Marketing North America, will assume direct responsibilities for these activities.
