The highly respected Canadian nordic skiing web site, SKITRAX, has published a story this morning (May 8), that it has learned from very reliable sources that longtime Canadian coach and team leader, Dave Wood has resigned. At the time of this posting Ski Racing can neither confirm nor deny the accuracy of these reports. Wood, served as the Team Leader for Cross-Country Canada at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver most recently.

A month ago, Cross-Country Canada hired former USST Olympian and coach, Justin Wadsworth, who also served on the USA 2010 Olympic cross country skiing staff.

SKITRAX was quoted as saying….”that things reached a turning point for Wood this week and he has resigned and will move to Rossland, BC.”

Look for more from Ski Racing soon.
