The women of the World Cup are now 0-for-2 in chances to really get a feel for the 2014 Olympic downhill course in Sochi, Russia ahead of World Cup races here this weekend.

Yesterday’s training run, the first of three scheduled, was hampered by wind and racers were signaled to reduce their speed going over jumps on the course. Today’s dress rehearsal was canceled due to the accumulation of about eight inches of heavy, wet snow on the Rosa Khutor course over night.

The women will have one more shot to get to know the course on Friday, when forecasts call for a pause in the snowfall before light snow is expected to return during the weekend.
