He had been vice president and associate publisher of MSM. The announcement was made Friday by Mark Ford, president of Time4 Media.

As group publisher, Pentz will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing efforts and financial operations of Ski, Skiing, Warren Miller’s SnoWorld, Skiing Trade News, Mountain Sports Interactive and Warren Miller Entertainment.

“Jamie is ideally suited to take Mountain Sports Media to the next level,” said Ford. “With his extensive experience in sales and category development, I am confident that he will continue MSM’s growth as the leader in the wintersports category.”

Pentz, 36, has been with MSM since April. He was previously vice president-sales for Media Networks, a division of Time Inc. During his 10 years at MNI, he built an impressive track record by continually exceeding all expectations in advertising revenue growth.

Pentz, who will report to Ford, succeeds Andy Clurman, who recently left the company. Pentz lives in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife and two children. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
