Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Grange was injured at the World Cup Slalom in Wengen, Switzerland, on January, 20.

Examinations revealed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and fissured external meniscus in the left knee. Grange will meet Dr. Sonnery Cottet in the coming days for an operation. His season is unfortunately over.

Grange is the 2011 and 2015 World Championship slalom gold medalist and has nine World Cup victories to his name.
