Garmisch to host downhill cancelled at Kitzbuehel{mosimage}The men’s World Cup downhill which was scrapped in Kitzbuehel due to bad weather will be moved to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany, an International Ski Federation official said Tuesday.
German race organizers were awarded the race after supplying the International Ski Federation with the appropriate guarantees, said the FIS men’s World Cup race director Guenther Hujara.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is already hosting a World Cup downhill and super-G on Feb. 19 and 20. The recovered downhill will be held Feb. 18.
