Christine J. Feehan, editor in chief at SkiRacing.com, has taken on the role of FIS alpine media coordinator on the women’s World Cup for the 2016-17 season. This winter, she will embark on the new endeavor while maintaining her existing role with SkiRacing.com. She replaces Jerome Krieg, who accepted a position as ladies’ alpine media coordinator with Swiss-Ski.

“It’s an honor that an organization like FIS wants to utilize Christine’s skill set for this role,” said Gary Black, CEO of SkiRacing.com. “We think it’ll be a great opportunity and learning experience for her. It will also allow a member of the Ski Racing staff to become closer and more familiar with the international side of the sport.”

Traveling the globe this season, Feehan will provide on-site support for all media as well as FIS officials at women’s World Cup races like the Olympic test event in PyeongChang, South Korea, and at the World Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

“Christine brings a wealth of journalism and ski experience to the role,” noted the hiring announcement from FIS.

As a USSA Level 300 alpine coach and official,  Feehan spent more than a decade training elite athletes at some of America’s preeminent ski academies – Burke, Sugar Bowl, and Killington – prior to joining the staff at Ski Racing in 2011. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Skidmore College and has also completed advanced certificates at the University of Vermont and the University of Texas at Austin.
