Europe’s largest cable car system put to the test in French Alps
Europe’s largest cable car system, the newly-built “Vanoise Express,” was tested on Tuesday at the ski station of Les Arcs in the French Alps.
The double-decker cars, which can each carry up to 200 people and their ski equipment, will link the ski stations of Les Arcs and La Plagne and go into service by Christmas 2003.
The project cost around 15 million Euros ($16 million).
