What happens when you cross big-mountain freeskiing with the speed of alpine racing? The brainchild of Red Bull athlete Jeremie Heitz while filming for the ski movie La List, the face of the Hohberghorn peak in Switzerland looked like an ideal place to set some gates and rip sone high-speed turns in Red Bull’s new film, Race The Face.

Heitz, whose background in the sport is through ski racing, grew up idolizing fellow Red Bull athlete and American downhill star, Daron Rahlves, and could think of no better partner for the ambitious project. Juggling the challenges of weather, snow safety, and the logistics of capturing everything on film proved to be quite the task for the athletes and production crew. In the end, Heitz and Rahlves battled it out for ultimate big-mountain bragging rights inĀ Race The Face.
