Chevrolet Eastern J3s: Bruce, Shiffrin soar

USSA held the first Eastern J3 Junior Olympics event Saturday at Stratton, Vermont, a slalom hosted by SMS (Stratton Mountain School and Stratton Mountain). It was a fantastic slalom event with four great course sets. Mother Nature threatened, but held off until just after the races had finished.

    The East qualified two skiers for the Whistler Cup on Saturday — Mikeala Bruce (Vt. — MMSC) and Taylor Shiffrin (Burke Mountain Academy).
