After laying down an untouchable second run, Slovakian Petra Vlhova has won the first giant slalom of her career, 0.45 seconds ahead of Germany’s Viktoria Rebensburg.

Rebensburg also had a remarkable second run, jumping eight positions from tenth into second.

France’s Tess Worley rounded out the podium in third, pulling ahead of Austrian Stephanie Brunner by four hundredths and American Mikaela Shiffrin by six hundredths.
