American Mikaela Shiffrin wins the giant slalom in Courchevel, France. She now has a total of seven wins in the discipline, and 49 wins overall.

After winning the first run, German Viktoria Rebensburg fell behind Shiffrin by 0.14 seconds after the second run. After taking a short break due to an injury obtained in Lake Louise, Frenchwoman Tessa Worley returned to the slope and to the podium in third, 0.33 seconds out from Shiffrin.

Other notable performances came from Frenchwoman Adeline Mugnier, who jumped six places to get into the top 10 on home soil.
