Federica Brignone is champion of the Crans-Montana alpine combined yet again, making her the only female skier to win multiple ladies’ combination events at the venue. She also won in February 2017 and in March of 2018, making her the first skier to win consecutive ladies alpine combined World Cup events since Tina Maze in 2012/13.

Canada’s Roni Remme finished in second, a career first podium for the 23-year-old. Throughout the 2018/19 season, Remme had only been capable of breaking into the top ten of the field in Semmering’s slalom event, finishing in eighth. In Crans-Montana, her slalom time pulled through, making her the only woman to come within a second of Brignone’s winning time.

Local hero Wendy Holdener had been a favorite to win, but ultimately settled for third. Holdener continues her streak on the World Cup as the only woman to have podiumed so many times without a win.

American Alice Merryweather settled for 29th overall. Sitting in 12th after the downhill, Merryweather’s slalom run could not hold her place in the standings.
