Bibs 89 and 82 on Nor Am podium at Copper

It’s not often you see bib’s 89 and  82 standing on a Nor Am podium, but that was the sight at Copper Mountain today (Nov. 9) as improving weather conditions provided an advantage for the late runners in the final race of a nine day speed series.

Jack Auty (89) claimed the win over Canadian Jeffrey Frisch with William Schuessler Bedard (82) in third.

It didn’t end there. Felix Monsen and Nick Daniels were tied for fourth from bibs 54 and 36 respectively.

The day started with snow falling and difficult visibility but gradually cleared. When the late runners got to the start the sun was out and each passing skier cleared the snow off the hardening track.

Auty jumped to third on the Nor Am super G list, tying with Russian Alexander Glebov. Frisch leads the standings and Jared Goldberg sits second. Goldberg leads the downhill standings over Thomas Biesemeyer and Bryce Bennett.
