November 14, 2019 – Denver, CO – The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) announces a documentary series, “Life Between the Gates,” that will give viewers an inside look at life for racers on the WPST. This six-part series will profile the world’s best alpine ski racers as they travel to top ski destinations and compete in the exciting head-to-head race format.

Partnering with Aether Films, the WPST documentary series takes a cinematic approach to detail the early alarms, time spent away from home, the training, the crashes and the drama surrounding professional athletes as they battle it out to create their spot in skiing history. Race fans will also get a glimpse of nightlife and activities at each resort in a holistic version of what the WPST embodies to athletes and their supporters. With professional ski racers hailing from all around the world, including Olympians, World Champions, World Cup Racers and NCAA All-Americans, “Life Between the Gates,” showcases relationships, rivalries and more.

“We are excited to offer a unique, insider’s look at the lives of our WPST racers,” says Jon Franklin, CEO of the WPST. “Aether Films has an incredible way of profiling athletes so that as a viewer, you feel their excitement, their stress and their victories.”

Aether Films will show all of the action and drama, including the most high profile rivalry of the 2019-2020 season between two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety, as he joins the Tour to challenge reigning WPST Champion and World Champion silver medalist, Phil Brown.

The WPST has also partnered with CAP Sports Group for the television distribution of the series, which will air approximately two weeks after each Tour stop. CAP Sports Group is a professional television distribution company that focuses on syndication and all aspects of sports television media, with an outstanding portfolio of television rights and program negotiations.
