HBO’s documentary, Lindsey Vonn: The Final Season by Teton Gravity Research has been nominated for two Emmy awards. One for Outstanding Camera Work, and another for Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement. The documentary, released in November of 2019, follows the winningest female skier of all-time Lindsey Vonn, as she embarks on the last season of her ski racing career, chasing down Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmarks record for all-time World Cup wins.

As the general public now knows, Vonn did not meet her goal of breaking Stenmark’s record. Her career, plagued by injury and survived by epic comebacks, defines Vonn’s story in the end. At some point, the gain no longer was worth the sacrifice. The tale that unfolds is one of perseverance and grit, a story of a woman who has never settled for anything less than her best, no matter the cost.

If you have not yet caught the incredible story of America’s Vonn, the documentary is available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand, and partners’ streaming platforms.
