Buffalo, N.Y.-based ski pole maker LEKI, announced yesterday (Oct. 28) that American ski racing star Lindsey Vonn has signed a deal to continue to use their products through the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, where she will look to defend her downhill gold medal.

The four-year contract guarantees Vonn will train and compete exclusively with LEKI poles and gate guards. LEKI is an official supplier to the US Ski Team.

“Lindsey is one of the most dominant and exciting ski racers in the world today. We are thrilled to have LEKI play a part in her goals and accomplishments over the next four years,” said Greg Wozer, Vice President of LEKI USA.

The decision marks the latest in a series of equipment adjustments for the Vail, Colo. native. During the summer before the Vancouver Games, she jumped from Rossignol boots and skis to Head, and in the last week the  26-year-old, three-time World Cup overall champion has signed contracts with Briko helmets and Oakley eyewear.
