FAYSTON, Vt. – Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) announced today that Scott Kennison will officially join the ski academy as head equipment manager starting Aug. 1.

“Scott is an expert technician, an amazing coach, and a tough athlete. Not only will he manage the busy tuning area in our Racing Performance Center, but he’ll also be on the training hill to check equipment and consult coaches about possible adjustments. We are truly lucky to have him on board,” said GMVS Headmaster Dave Gavett.

Kennison comes to GMVS with an impressive ski racing and coaching résumé. He graduated from GMVS, spent time on the U.S. Ski Team development squad, and was a two-time First Team NCAA All-American at the University of Vermont. Kennison then went on to coach the Harvard Ski Team, become Volkl Jr. New England Race Manager and subsequently Volkl National Race Director.

Kennison replaces Todd Carroll, who departed GMVS this spring for a new job as Outside Sales Representative for Wintersteiger USA.
