Vermont’s Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) is further enhancing its U.S. Ski & Snowboard High Performance Center (HPC) designation with the hiring of Devin Delaney (GMVS Class of 2009) as its new Director of Sports Nutrition. Delaney returns to her alma mater this fall after 10 years in the Rockies where she led Denver University to an NCAA Championship title and subsequently went on to become a Certified Nutritional Therapy Consultant.

Delaney’s high level ski racing experiences both with the U.S. Ski Team and at Denver University, combined with her passion for health, wellness, and the outdoors led her to pursue a career in personal training and nutritional therapy.

Delaney’s holistic approach to nutritional counseling incorporates sports science, bio-individuality, and a focus on the many factors that impact teenage athletes’ performance, including stress, sleep, and nutrition. As GMVS’s Director of Sports Nutrition, she will be overseeing the school’s nutritional program including ongoing educational seminars, hands-on workshops, and consultation with the school’s on-site dining services team, as well as in on-snow camp environments.

Delaney joins GMVS’s HPC Director of Conditioning Dani Koch and HPC Director of Injury Prevention and Management Brie Beckwith. With a decade of work with the Swiss National Women’s World Cup and Europa Cup Teams, Koch is well known for his best-in-class holistic management of female alpine ski racers, and he is excited to welcome Delaney to the team. Beckwith rounds out GMVS’s world-class High Performance team. A USST alumna and former Physical Therapist for USST Women’s World Cup Teams, Beckwith brings a wealth of experience in managing injury and steering our injury prevention efforts.

“We are very excited for the addition of Devin and the continued enhancements we are making to our high performance team and optimization of our athletic improvement in the area of nutrition,” said GMVS Head of School Tracy Keller. “We look forward to getting to work and carrying our improvements in this area through our fall preparation and winter competition seasons.”

Working in concert with one another on a daily basis, the GMVS High Performance Team will ensure that GMVS athletes are physically and mentally poised to perform.
