Gear Guide: Fischer Team Grows in Switzerland
The Fischer Race Family continues to grow. After the new Austrian Max Franz signing, two Swiss athletes, Patrick Kueng and Thomas Tumler, have likewise changed to the ski manufacturer and will be racing with Fischer from now on.
For Kueng, an experienced racer who won the downhill World Championship in 2015, equipment is a critical factor in having a successful start in the 2018-19 World Championship season.
“After what was a difficult season for me I am pleased to have a new partner by my side for the new one,” he shared. “I am looking forward to the new challenge and will go into the new season full of motivation and energy.”
Tumler is another Swiss athlete with huge potential who has switched to Fischer equipment. The 28-year-old giant slalom and super-G specialist is clearly pleased about the collaboration with the Austria-based ski company.
“A good partnership with my equipment provider is particularly important for me. With Fischer, I have found exactly what I was looking for and I am proud that I will be competing in future races with a team that has a family spirit like the Fischer Race Family,” Tumler said.
“We are delighted that we have been able to grow our speed team so dynamically with racers from a strong nation like Switzerland,” said Racing Director Siegi Voglreiter. “With the experienced Patrick Kueng and up-and-coming Thomas Tumler we will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in the future. The Fischer Race Family will be fully motivated as we start out in the new World Championship season together with them.”
