Saint Joseph’s College seeks candidates for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Alpine Ski Coach. 

The Head Alpine Ski Coach supports the department of Athletics by: managing all aspects of the men’s and women’s Alpine Ski programs and working with coaches and staff members in coordinating the care and tracking of select equipment, uniforms and practice apparel for all teams in department. 

Education and Experience: 

 Bachelor’s degree is required 

 Experience running league/tournament in camp or recreation setting 

 Head coaching experience, prefer three years of college coaching 

Supervision and Scheduling Demands: 

Receives minimal supervision, meets on a regular basis with the Director of Athletics. This is a FT 10-month position August 10th through June 10th that also works closely with Facilities Coordinator and SID. Evening, nighttime, and weekend hours are required through attending athletic contests and campus events. Weekly/daily schedule will be determined by game schedule and intramural schedule — to be regularly reviewed and determined with Director of Athletics. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

 Knowledge of sports and sport rules 

 Must be or pass test to be CPR/AED certified within 90 days of hire 

 Must take annual NCAA Compliance exam 

 Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills 

 Computer competence in word processing, power point, database management and electronic mail 

 Strong verbal and written communication skills 

 Ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds 

 Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism
