The Loveland Ski Club is currently searching for a well-qualified candidate to fill the position of Executive Director to oversee and strategically lead the club including financial management, sponsor and community partner relationships, staff, and programs including the flagship Alpine Race Academy. WHAT YOUR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS WILL BE (this list is not meant to be an all-inclusive list, but provides insight into some of the main job functions):

  • Strategically direct the club to obtain year over year growth, proper resourcing, safety, and athletes’ success while providing support, encouraging and enabling a safe, positive environment for the youth to participate in
  • Reports to and confers with Board of Trustees, staff, national organizations, leagues, individuals, groups and committees to implement and extend organization’s visions, goals, programs, and services, while spearheading continuous constructive enhancements to Loveland Ski
    Club business plans
  • Maintains strategic partner alliances and helps to arrange workshops and courses. Obtains corporate alliances, sponsorships, and fulfills sponsorship agreements
  • Responsible for helping train, guide, coordinate, provide support and encouragement to volunteers and groups
  • Maintains positive relationship and ensures compliance with membership in parent and other organizations of which Loveland Ski Club is a member
  • As a vital part of the local community, you will be the face of Loveland Ski Club, and lead fundraising and community partner relationships. Leads marketing and contributes to the Loveland Ski Club e-Newsletter and other social media platforms
  • Conducts the daily business of the club in the matter of monitoring and enforcing contracts, contracting or supplies and services, oversight of invoice payments and bills, maintaining appropriate financial records
  • Directly supervises all office staff both full and part-time employees, and contractors. Develops a cooperative team spirit. Develops and modifies personnel policies, benefits, job descriptions, recommends new positions. Completes annual personnel reviews
  • You have the ability for overnight travel as needed
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as decided by the Board of Trustees

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE – QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree (M.A., M.B.A, M.S., M.Ed.) or experience equivalent of six (6) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in leading an athletic club/association along with strong business management and business development experience
  • Enthusiasm, passion and expertise in Big Mountain Skiing and Racing

WHERE YOU WILL WORK:

• Work will be performed in the resort office, some limited work will be performed from your home office, you will be out in the community and on the mountain. While performing the duties of this job, you will be exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, snow, ice, wind. The work environment is nonsmoking
