The Steamboat Mountain School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is a private college preparatory, day and boarding school that offers a place for “students to grow today, tomorrow and every day after that.” It has students from kindergarten through 12th grade with various interests. Steamboat Mountain School works with Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club to offer an all-encompassing school and ski program.

The alpine team from Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club has outstanding access to Steamboat Ski Resort, Howelsen Hill Ski Area, and the lengthy Colorado winter seasons. The dedication to the sport is supported by the educational program offered at the school.

Academically, “students are active participants in all aspects of their learning.” The school strives to provide an academic experience where the teachers give students the attention they need, even outside the individual class. They want to provide students the tools to cultivate confidence, curiosity and empathy in every student.

For training, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club provides alpine programs for all ages and levels. The team focuses on skill development through drills, gates, and free skiing. For older age groups the program believes, “the mileage in and out of gates becomes the foundation for all future development and success.”
