2016 World Juniors go to Sochi

The FIS Council held its first meeting at the 2014 FIS Congress all day on Monday (June 2) with a primary focus on preparing for Friday’s Congress. In addition, the Council made a few decisions during yesterday’s meeting:

• On invitation of the Bulgarian Ski Association, the Calendar Conference and Organizer Seminar 2015 will take place in Varna (BUL) at the Golden Sands Resort in the first week of June 2015.
• The Council decided to include a representative of the Athletes’ Commission as part of the FIS Council with observer status (voice but no vote).

Furthermore, Organisers of the following Junior World Championships were appointed: 

• FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 will be held in Sochi (RUS).
• FIS Junior Grass Skiing World Championships 2015 will be held in Stitna nad Vlari (CZE).
