Former U.S. Ski Team alpine racer Casey Puckett stayed red-hot on the world skiercross stage Sunday, winning gold at the Winter X Games 11.
ASPEN, Colorado — Former U.S. Ski Team alpine racer Casey Puckett stayed red-hot on the world skiercross stage Sunday, winning gold at the Winter X Games 11.
    Puckett beat former U.S. Ski Teamer Jake Fiala, who took silver, with Enak Gavaggio nabbing bronze. Stanley Hayer was fourth, Audu Groenvold fifth and Daron Rahlves sixth in his second career skiercross race.
    Zach Crist, another ex-national team alpiner, won the consolation round.
    Ophelie David won gold in the women’s division, with Valentine Scuotto second and Meryll Boulangeat third.
    The top men will head to Breckenridge, Colo., later this week for the second stop in The Honda Ski Tour. Puckett won the inaugural Honda Ski Tour skiercross event in Sun Valley, Idaho, earlier this month.
