UNSEASONABLY WARM WEATHER throughout Europe continues to wreak havoc with the snowsports schedule, and three more events were canceled by the FIS on Thursday, including the World Cup freestyle moguls opener in Tignes, France, scheduled for Dec. 14.
No makeup date for the Tignes opener was announced, but Saturday's planned aerials opener in Jilin Beida Lake, China, should occur because of good snow coverage.
Also Thursday, the skiercross event scheduled for Dec. 17 in Kreischberg, Austria, was canceled, as was the snowboardcross event scheduled for Dec. 16 in Bad Gastein, Austria.
