Lillehammer has replaced Trondheim as the venue for the World Cup ski jumping and nordic combined events in Norway on Dec. 2-3, Eurosport reported Tuesday.

LILLEHAMMER HAS REPLACED TRONDHEIM
as the venue for the World Cup ski jumping and nordic combined events in Norway on Dec. 2-3, Eurosport reported Tuesday.
Mild weather in Norway's third largest city has rendered the conditions in the ski jumping arena in Granasen unsuitable. But conditions at inland Lillehammer, host city of the 1994 Winter Olympic Games, are fine so the second World Cup event of the season will switch cities for the second year in succession.
This weekend's opening event of the season in Kuusamo is safe despite warm conditions in Finland.
"In Kuusamo everything is perfect, and further transfers are also not foreseen", Annemarie Friedrich of the FIS said.
