U.S. Ski Team Olympic gold medalists Mikaela Shiffrin and Ted Ligety have been nominated along with several other American ski racers, snowboarders, and freestyle athletes for ESPN’s prestigious 2014 ESPY Awards. Shiffrin is competing against Maya Moore, Ronda Rousey, and Breanna Stewart in the Best Female Athlete category and against snowboarder Jamie Anderson, freestyle skier Maddie Bowman, and figure skater Meryl Davis for the Best Female U.S. Olympian accolade. Ted Ligety is in the running for Best Male U.S. Olympian along with David Wise, Joss Christensen, and Sage Kotsenburg. Voting ends on July 16 at 9 p.m — cast your votes here.
