Lea Lozar of Sierra Nevada College dominated the women’s giant slalom on Wednesday as the USCSA nationals kicked off at Winter Park, Colorado.
LEA LOZAR of Sierra Nevada College dominated the women’s giant slalom on Wednesday as the USCSA nationals kicked off at Winter Park, Colorado.
Lozar finished with an unofficial two-run time of 2 minutes, 9.59 seconds, beating Smith College’s Mikaela Martineau in second place by 2.25 seconds. Martineau clocked 2:11.84 to slip past Eliza Hawkins of Massachusetts in third at 2:11.86. Ashley Lacavalla of Boston College finished fourth and Sierra Nevada’s Caroline Bergstroem was fifth.
Competition continues Thursday with the men’s GS.
