U.S. Ski Team member Mayer involved in fatal car accident{mosimage}U.S. Freestyle Ski Team member Travis Mayer was involved in a car accident that resulted in the death of 44-year-old Diane Hamblin of Arcade, N.Y. According to a report in the Buffalo News, Mayer was cited for running a stop sign in the accident that took place about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Investigators say Mayer was not seriously hurt.

According to AP, Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard said the investigation was continuing.
