TORINO: Alpine: Bode Miller raced final training run on special AtomicsSESTRIERE, Italy – American Bode Miller used never-before-seen capped Atomics in his highly successful Saturday training run at the Olympics.
Ski Racing saw the skis in this photo and confirmed Sunday night that Atomic possesses two pairs of the special skis.
Those two pairs may be on the feet of America’s top two downhillers in Sunday’s Olympic men’s downhill. Miller’s teammate Daron Rahlves did not try the special skis, but they are available to him if he chooses.
Atomic always uses cap construction for slalom and GS skis, and regular sandwich construction for their downhill boards.
