The start of the race was delayed Friday due to rain and foggy conditions. The downhill portion of the race was put back 75 minutes until 11:45 a.m. locally. A steady rain had been falling on the Prampero course for several hours and fog made visibility difficult on the upper section.T
The race will determine the season title in super combi. Marlies Schild of Austria leads the discipline standings with 160 points, 44 ahead of teammate Michaela Kirchgasser and 45 in front of Mancuso. In the morning downhill, Schild, a slalom specialist, was third, just .10 back, and Kirchgasser 13th, 1.06 back.
