CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy — As expected, a snowstorm blew in late last night and precipitation should continue until 3:00 this afternoon (Jan. 17) according to the forecast. As such, the jury has made the decision to cancel the second downhill training for the women in Cortina.

The slip crew is currently working hard to push the snow outside the race line, and the snow cats will only start their job once the snow has stopped. The organizers now have an intense day ahead to prepare the slope for tomorrow’s downhill race scheduled to begin at 10:30 CET.
