Austrian competitor Philip Schoerghofer has returned to Fischer equipment after four years with Atomic.

According to Austrian news service APA, Schoerghofer will join teammate Reinfried Herbst and Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Grange in the Fischer stable.

“I just wanted to know what other materials work,” Schoerghofer is quoted as saying. “The ski tests showed promise.”
Schoerghofer said the giant slalom title holds “a great charm for me,” but said he would also take starts in super G and slalom.

Schoerghofer has one World Cup win, Feb. 6, 2011 at Hinterstoder, and three podium results, all in GS. He earned a bronze medal in GS at the Garmisch World Championships in 2011.
