His philosophy on long-term athletic and character development are aligned with our vision of creating champions, on and off the mountain. “I am honored to be joining the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, and I believe strongly in its mission of inspiring the pursuit of excellence and empowering members of this community to achieve their personal goals in athletics and in life through participation in sport,” said Nolting. “I look forward to continuing to enhance the quality and consistency of SSWSC athletic programs, and to partner with our discipline directors and coaching staff to bring continuous professional development to our coaches.”

“Sarah Floyd has been instrumental in the success of the SSWSC and has capably worn many hats during her long-standing tenure. We both believe that Jon’s expertise will elevate our capabilities in the areas of athletic programming and coach education. This will allow Sarah to focus her time with me on strengthening our strategic and operational effectiveness, as well as on improving our relationships with community partners such as our local schools,” Boyne said.

The Nolting family is very familiar with Colorado and Steamboat Springs. Nolting, his wife, Darlene, and their two children are excited to make Steamboat Springs their permanent home.
