PARK CITY, Utah — The NCAA Skiing Championship slalom races have been postponed until Saturday (March 8) due to course conditions. The men’s slalom is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. MT with the women’s race at 10:00 a.m., at Park City Mountain Resort. Second run will begin at 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively.

“Unfortunately we had to cancel the race because of the snow conditions,” Utah’s head alpine coach Jaka Korencan said. “The rain and the warm temperatures contributed to an unsafe race course. The forecast for tonight (is) cold, so we’re hoping to get a freeze so that we have a fair and safe surface tomorrow.”

The cross-country races will continue to be held at Soldier Hollow on Saturday, starting at 9:00 a.m. MT with the men’s 20K mass start freestyle, followed by the women’s 15K at 10:30 a.m.
