U.S. Olympian Eric Camerota, making a strong drive to get back on the World Cup circuit and qualify for his second World Championships, finished second Friday in a World Cup-B mass-start event.
VAL DI FIEMME, Italy — U.S. Olympian Eric Camerota, making a strong drive to get back on the World Cup circuit and qualify for his second World Championships, finished second Friday in a World Cup-B mass-start event.
    Camerota was 15th in the 10-kilometer front end of the competition and, displaying some of the strongest jumping of his career, finished fourth in jumping to move up to second overall with 242.7 points. It was his second top 10 of the trip. German Matthias Menz, a top jumper, was the winner with 252.0.
    Alex Glueck was 24th and Skyler Keate finished 39th.
    The previous day, Germany's Jens Kaufmann won and Camerota was 12th with Bryan Fletcher 36th.
