Marshall hospitalized after falling from escalator

According to the U.S. Ski Team, alpine racer Cody Marshall was involved in a accident early Thursday morning in which the 26-year-old, Vermont native sustained a serious head injury. The accident occurred in downtown Park City, Utah. He was taken to the University Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he remains in critical condition.

It is being reported that Marshall fell between 20 and 30 feet from an escalator at the Main Street Mall on the ski town’s famed Main Street at around midnight Thursday morning while out with teammates. 

Marshall, a technical specialist, is part of a ski racing family and followed older brother Jesse and younger sister Chelsea on to the U.S. Ski Team. He has been living in Park City while training for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
