Olympic gold medalist ski racer Lindsey Vonn got good news from her doctor this week.

The four-time World Cup overall champion revealed to reporters last weekend that she would undergo MRI exams on both of her knees in search for answers to enduring pain in the joints throughout this season.

Today (April 3) Vonn took to her Facebook page to inform her more than 400,000 fans of the positive results.

“My right knee looks good,” wrote Vonn. “ [My] left knee has some fraying of meniscus but no tear and cartilage has some wear but no tearing either. Just need some good old fashioned rest!”

After five months on the grueling World Cup tour, on which Vonn won 12 races this season and reclaimed her place at the top of the overall standings after a one-year absence, the 27-year-old racer finally has time to get the needed rest.

“My doctor and I are going to keep a close eye on it to make sure that I’m ready for next season,” continued Vonn. “We’ve always kept a close eye on an old tibial plateau fracture I had when I was a teenager, things are looking great considering!”
