Lindsey Kildow to race almost everything this year; could skip giant slaloms

Lindsey Kildow to race “almost everything” this year; could skip giant slalomsLindsey Kildow, America’s top downhiller, is considering how to schedule her World Cup calendar this year. With 37 races in 13 countries, plus the Olympics, she is looking to take a strategic break somewhere.

‘Right now I’m going to do almost everything’ Kildow said in a recent telephone interview. ‘Slalom’s definitely a priority for me, since I’m top 30 now.’

Kildow moved into an elite club at the start of the last season, getting more than 400 points on the World Cup Start List. That means she was automatically qualified for World Cup races in every discipline.

Kildow says she’ll likely skip giant slaloms, if she skips anything. ‘GS is the first one I’ll skip if I get tired’ says Kildow.
