The 2009 Cross Country Junior Olympics wrapped up today in Truckee Cali. with team relays.
 
The northeastern team of Stratton Mountain skiers Heather Mooney and Cambria McDermott and Cambridge Sports Union’s Corey Stock won the J2 women’s race, while the J2 men were led my Alaskans Sam Dougherty of the Alaskan Winter Stars, Travis Seemens of Alaskan Nordic Racing and Logan Hannenman of FAST.

 The J1s were tested on a 3x5K relay that saw intermountain ladies take the victory. Black Jack Ski Club’s Monica Markvardsen, Park City Nordic Ski Foundation’s Elizabeth Guiney and Bridger Ski Foundation’s Katie Gill made up that team. On the men’s side, Alaskan Winter Stars Tyler Kornfield, Scott Patterson and Andrew Dougherty took the win.

The OJ women were led by Keely Levins of Mt Top Nordic, Adele Espy of Maine Coast Nordic and Parker Tyler of the University of Utah. Northeasterners Graham Egan and Chase Marston of the Middlebury Ski Team, and Sam Tarling of the Burke Mountain Academy won the men’s event.
