Jonna Mendes signs to use Fischer boots for 2004-2005 season

Jonna Mendes signs to use Fischer boots for 2004-2005 seasonFischer race director Mike Day has just announced that U.S. Ski Team member Jonna Mendes will race with Fischer boots for the 2004-2005 season. Mendes, a member of the USST’s A Team, has been on Fischer skis since 2000, and switched to Fischer bindings for the current season.

Mendes tested Fischer’s Soma Tec boots extensively this summer and fall.

She hopes to follow in the footsteps of Nicole Hosp of Austria, who had several World Cup podium finishes last year with Fischer boots.

Mendes won a bronze medal in super G at the most recent alpine world championships, at St. Moritz in 2003. ‘This is a very exciting step for both Jonna and Fischer’ said Day, ‘I expect we’ll see some great results this season.’
