Jason Yelk leaves racing position at Salomon North America{mosimage}Jason Yelk has left his position as field promotions manager for Salomon North America. Yelk was at Salomon for four years, and in recent years oversaw a large portion of their ski racing program in the United States. He says the decision to leave was mutual and amicable.

‘I wish everyone at Salomon the best’ said Yelk from his home in Waterbury, Vermont. ‘It’s a great company and a great product. I learned a lot. It was fun. I made a lot of friends in the industry, and now I’m going to take the vacation I haven’t had in four years.’

Salomon has yet to name a replacement for Yelk, and is actively recruiting.

Salomon’s presence in the U.S. Ski Team’s athlete pool has diminished this season, leaving only Marco Sullivan and Scott Macartney skiing on Salomon’s skis. But Salomon did announce that they will be sponsors of the Birds of Prey downhill in December.
