Nearly twenty inches of snow fell on Sunday River, Maine on Saturday, March 12, making the opening slalom a bit of a rough ride.

Mount Mansfield’s Robert Kelley handled the conditions, as well as the rest of the field, earning gold in the slalom. Teammate Annie Rendall made it a sweep of the slalom for Mount Mansfield, winning the women’s field.

Nicholas Scalia, out of GMVS, earned the giant slalom victory the following day, edging Vinson by just over a tenth. After a third in the slalom, Ford took two steps up the podium in the giant slalom, and took home gold.

After a day of speed training, CVA’s Dominique Cyr was the class of the men’s field, with Bennett Hrabovsky in second, and first year J3 Taylor Wunsch in third. On the women’s side KMS’s Kristin Leggett took the victory, but Ford’s fifth-place finish was enough for her to pass Rendell in the overall.
